PERUVIAN
Peruvian is a classic 4-thread wool yarn made of 100% pure, new wool. The wool for Peruvian comes from Peruvian highland sheep, which are a cross between corriedale and merino. The sheep graze in the Peruvian highlands, which contributes to the wool's characteristic fullness and beautiful softness.
We use the same wool for our Pernilla.
Peruvian is worsted spun, which means that the yarn is round and extremely regular. This gives a nice stitch definition and makes Peruvian ideal for twists, textured knits and multi-coloured knits.
Peruvian is suitable for all kinds of knitting and crochet projects for children and adults, as well as for quilting and felting. The overwhelming number of colors only helps to give creativity free rein. Also try Peruvian together with one of our other yarn qualities. Mulesing is not used on the Peruvian highland sheep.
