Fixing Mistakes in Knitting Workshop.

You are knitting happily along on your project and all of sudden you notice a mistake, 20 rows bellow!!!

What a bummer!

Believe me, I know that feeling very well! Don’t give up!

Just learn how to fix them.

You will not be afraid to make a mistake again!

This workshop is designed for knitters who would like to fix mistakes in their projects. No matter your years of experience, you may make mistakes.

After this workshop you will be confident fixing mistakes and you will be less stressed when you discover them and feel proud after fixing them efficiently!

You will learn:
 To “read” your knitting.
 The right way to mount a stitch on a needle.
 Unravel a knit and a purl stitch.
 Fix a mistake in a stitch a few rows down in stockinette, reverse stockinette, garter stitch and ribbing.
 Rip down and place stitches back on your needles correctly.
 Placing a “life line” under your needle or a few rows bellow using a scrap yarn.
 

Please bring to Class-

A swatch (Homework) materials:

A smooth DK or worsted weight yarn (approx. 20 g) in a solid or semi-solid color;
- Needles (recommended for your yarn of choice);
- A crochet hook (smaller size than the needles) – may be borrowed from the instructor for the duration of the workshop or bought at the store;

The students are required to knit a swatch prior the workshop using the following pattern:
➢ Cast on 30 stitches;
➢ Knit for 6 rows (this will be the base of your swatch);
➢ Row 1 (Right Side): knit 20 stitches, *purl 1 stitch, knit 1 stitch* (repeat to the end of the
row);
➢ Row 2 (Wrong Side): *Purl 1 stitch, knit 1 stitch* 5 times (10 stitches), purl 10 stitches,
knit 10 stitches.
➢ Repeat Row 1 and row 2 until the swatch is approx 4 inches high;
➢ Do not Bind off your work!

Looking at the right side, left to right: 10 stitches in 1x1 ribbing, 10 stitches in stockinette and 10 stitches in garter.

Pre-requirements: This workshop is designed for people who know how to knit and purl.
Duration: 2 hours, one session.

Workshop is limited to 4 students (min of 2 students) and it takes place in Cosy Yarns & Gifts Studio.
