Mosaic Knitting Workshop

Learn how to knit Mosaic!

Have you ever admired those beautiful colorwork projects and wished that you can do them, but felt intimidated by their complexity? Well, I have a very good news for you: if you know how to knit and purl, you can do Mosaic knitting too!

Come to Cosy Yarns Fiber Arts Studio and learn.

Mosaic knitting in a friendly atmosphere!
Mosaic knitting is the easiest colorwork technique. Unlike the traditional stranded knitting where you work with two or more yarns at the same time, with Mosaic knitting you are only working with one yarn at a time, slipping the unworked stitches along the rows. This makes the Mosaic knitting simpler to manage plus means fewer floats and more flexible fabric.

You will learn:
 changing yarns,
 managing yarns so they don’t get tangled,
 reading Mosaic charts and/or Mosaic written instructions,
 bonus: knitting an I-cord edge!

Materials:

Materials are not included.

You can bring your own materials or buy them at the Cosy Yarns Studio. If buying, please arrive at least 30 minutes prior the start of the workshop, so there will be enough time to wind the yarn if needed and to choose the right needle size.

Please select two smooth DK or worsted weight yarns (approx. 20 g each) in a solid or semi-solid colours and knitting needles (size recommended for your yarn of choice).
